Brian Kahanek is one of Hollywood's most versatile audio professionals — a mixer, editor, sound designer, and recording artist whose fingerprints are on some of the most beloved titles in cinema history.

With over a decade at Disney Worldwide Post, Brian built an unparalleled expertise in mixing, recording, editing, and mastering, followed by extended residencies at DreamWorks and Warner Bros. He now calls Sidewinder Post home, where he continues to deliver top-to-bottom audio post production for independent and studio features alike.

His restoration and remastering credits read like a library of Hollywood's greatest works — from Pirates of the Caribbean and Toy Story to Pulp Fiction, Good Will Hunting, and Dead Poets Society. Brian has shepherded iconic titles through 5.1 and 2.0 remastering with an ear for both technical precision and emotional fidelity.

Beyond the studio, Brian led dialog recording for DreamWorks animated features including Trolls World Tour, Abominable, and How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, and served as the voice recording steward for Walt Disney Character Voices across all video games and ancillary products from 2002–2005.

His work in sound design spans CBS television (CSI: Cyber), major video game cinematics and MMORPGs, and national advertising campaigns for brands including Caterpillar, Advanced Auto Parts, and Southern Company. He also contributed dialog pickup work alongside Peter Jackson on King Kong.

Away from the post suite, Brian is a seasoned touring and recording artist with six solo albums to his name — alongside collaborative work with his wife Jill as The Kahaneks — and over 20 years on stage.
